Pie Crust Mixis the perfect ally for making a gluten-free pie crust with a perfectly flaky texture. Pie crusts are often a little tricky to prepare, especially when you're looking to achieve that light, crispy texture. That's why we've created a quick and easy recipe that allows you to make a perfect pie crust in just a few minutes, "as if you were starting from scratch".
No one wants to be put off by dough, and with our mix, you can say goodbye to the frustration of hard-to-work-with gluten-free doughs.
Pie Crust Mix is dairy-free, soy-free, and made with organic cane sugar. The result is a flavorful, flaky crust, perfect for all your homemade pies.
Ingredients : SUSIE GLUTEN-FREE PASTRY FLOUR (BROWN RICE FLOUR, WHITE RICE FLOUR, POTATO STARCH, TAPIOCA STARCH, SORGHUM FLOUR, XANTHAN GUM), ORGANIC CANE SUGAR, SEA SALT.

You will need:
1/2 lb butter (227 g)
8 tbsp (120 mL) ice water
Preparation (Yield: 2 tart bases or 1 base with top):
Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C).
Cut the cold butter into cubes. Using a food processor, blend the butter and Susie Gluten-Free Pie Crust Mix until powdery and dry.
Add 8 tablespoons (120 mL) of ice water and mix until small lumps or balls form. Add 1 additional tablespoon of ice water if the dough is too dry.
Form the dough into two equal-sized balls. Flatten, wrap, and refrigerate for at least one hour.
Remove from the refrigerator and roll out between 2 sheets of plastic wrap to the desired size. Remove the top layer of plastic wrap, place in a pie dish, and press into shape. Remove the remaining plastic wrap.
Pierce and bake blind for 10 minutes, then add the filling.
