Metabolic stress:

Muscle catabolism is an important part of the metabolic response to stress or injury. The increased activity of the sympathetic nervous system and the production of cortisol (a catabolic signal) during exercise causes the tissues to break down to provide sufficient energy to carry out the workload. Although physical stress and catabolism are necessary for the adaptation process (gains in strength, power and muscle tone), it is essential to limit exposure to stress to the period intended for training.

Psychological stress:
We all face episodes of acute psychological stress on a daily basis. But when acute stressors become chronic, you put yourself at risk for cortisol dysregulation or suffering from anxiety, insomnia and symptoms of depression.

Recommended uses of Cool Down:

  • To soothe anxiety, prevent cortisol dysregulation, control mood disturbances and improve sleep: take 1-2 capsules with dinner and 1-2 capsules 60 minutes before bedtime.
  • To support recovery on training days (evening workouts): Take 1-2 capsules with a post-workout meal and 1-2 capsules 60 minutes before bed.
  • Cool Down acts in synergy with AdrenRGY AM by ATP Lab: For best results, take 3 capsules of AdrenRGY AM with breakfast in addition to Cool Down (follow the dosage instructions indicated above).

Contraindications:
